The head of the column
The Olympic torch sped through Blythburgh on July 5th. It was on its way from Southwold and Reydon to Kelsale, the next point at which the torch would be run. It was something of an anti-climax, thought some observers. It seems that there was a policy not to relate to the communities through which the convoy passed. The route was not even published although it was easy enough to guess in Blythburgh's case. The most memorable vehicles were those of the sponsors.
