Flood defence work starts

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Work started in March to raise the banks on both sides of the A12 between the Blyth river bridge and the A145 turning to Beccles.  This was to prevent a repetition of the floods which most recently closed the road in 2007 and 2013.  The work was expected to take sixteen weeks to complete.
